How long does ZMA take to be absorbed into the body?
I take a protein shake(Syntha-6) w/ milk before bed and the calcium in the milk would effect the absorption of the Zinc.
I want to know how long I should wait after a meal to take ZMA or how long after I take ZMA can I have my before bed protein.

I take the zma an hour before bed and then cottage cheese and protein shake immediately before bed. Or set an alarm to eat the cottage cheese and protein if you take your zma right before bed

I started taking ZMA a couple months ago after a friend suggested it. At first, I didn’t really notice any difference, but after the third week of using ZMA, I started having some wildly vivid dreams. I’ve never really considered myself a dreamer in the past, but now I was having fantastic dreams on a nightly basis.
Other than that weird effect, I didn’t really notice anything else… until I ran out. I wasn’t really convinced that the ZMA was having an effect on my fitness goals, so I figured that I would save a few bucks and stop taking it.
Within about five days, I noticed that my sleeping habits weren’t the same. I was sleeping less than I did before, I didn’t have the same amount of energy when I woke up, and the crazy dreams were gone. In addition, I noticed a difference in my workouts. I wasn’t recovering as quickly during and after each workout. I felt weaker, lifting less weight than I did before.
Needless to say, now that I’m taking ZMA again, I feel much better. The morning after I started taking it again, I woke up much more rested and ready to tackle the day. My workout that day was great.
While I can’t personally attest to the muscle supporting effects of ZMA, there are several studies that have showed significant improvements in overall strength. The most popular study was conducted by Dr. Lorrie Brilla involving a group of NCAA football players. The study showed that the ZMA test group had 250% greater gains in muscle strength than the placebo group.

is ZMA safe or effective for building muscle?
its just zinc, vitamin B6, and magnesium. ive been taking it for about a month, but i just realized that it says take it at bedtime. i take it in the morning. any experiences? anyone know anything about it?
ZMA is generally to help you fall into a deeper sleep which is essential for muscle growth. Zinc helps with the production of testosterone so yes it will help in two ways, it also will aid your immune system. I would take it before bed as it recommends.
