Question on Tribulus Terrestris dosage?
I’m going to start taking Tribulus which is a herbal supplement that is supposed to indirectly inrease testosterone levels in your body. I was reading the dosage for this supplement and it says
“DOSE: Take 500-2,000 mg per day in 2-3 divided doses. On workout days, take one dose about 30-60 minutes before training. Follow a five-days-on/two-days-off regimen for eight weeks, then take two weeks off before cycling back on tribulus. Look for an extract standardized to no less than 45% protodioscin.”
My question is however… do I really need t o take it 3 times a day?.. The Tribulus I purchased has 500 mg per pill and I’m thinking about only taking one or two pills an hour before my workout which is on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. I don’t know if I should be taking it on my off days?..
Someone please help me with your advice, or if anyone has taken this supplement please let me know. I’m taking it for Bodybuilding
Unless you’re over 30, don’t bother with this supplement. I can’t give a citation, but I’ve read that there is little to no proof of benefit from this supplement. I took it for over a year with little perceived benefit.
If you’re going to take it, the best results will come from taking it as recommended though. It does say you can take it 2 or 3 times a day, your choice. You could simply take a morning/night 1,000 mg serving on non-training days, and a morning/pre-training 1,0000 mg serving on training days.

As a result, it is highly recommended to start with a low dosage to see how your body responds before getting involved in a full regime of taking it daily or even multiple times a day. It isn’t possible to overdose on it so play with the amounts and see what exactly works for you.
Once you have decided what type of function you need it for the daily regime can begin. If sexual impotence is why you are seeking it, you can take 1 gram both in the morning and at night. If body building is your main focus, it’s recommended to take one or two grams before bed every night. When used properly Tribulus Terrestris extract can be used as a viable supplement in your daily routine of vitamins, minerals, and supplements.

Who knows about Tribulus Terrestris?
I’m what you would call a hard gainer, I’m already taking Protein Shakes, Multivitiamins, and ZMA Supplements. I read that Tribulus Terrestris is another good supplement because it stimulates natural testosterone – and is even more effective when taken with ZMA. Does anyone know about this?
Any information would be helpful – I don’t know much about this supplement.
it is an herb/plant that was at one time believed to slightly increase testosterone production but is now confirmed that it does not do so. It does however increase sex drive slightly.
