Have you tried the Superfood Acai Berry?
Hello Everyone. I am researching Acai Berry. It is a natural Super Food found in the rain forests of Brazil that helps lose weight, boosts metabolism, gives energy, increases libido and a great deal of other things. I have read NOTHING BUT POSITIVE things about Acai but they say when something seems too good to be true, then it probably is. So, I want to know if any of you have tried Acai Berry and what are the advantages and disadvantages of using it?
Pros: tons of nutrients, helps fight diseases ( some studies show that they can kill cancer cells! sweet!), flushes and cleanses your body, helps you lose weight, ANTIOXIDANTS YEAH!
Cons: the berry rots after only 12 hours of being picked, so unless you are hiking in the amazon, you won’t get them fresh (probably in a juice/supplement form). And of course, the producers of the juice will probably add sugars and other stuff which will take away some of the benefits of this wonderful berry… sometimes there is little of the actual berry in the product and the producer will fill it up with other stuff to save money.
Anyways, there are way more pros than cons. As with everything, moderation is key. Find a good juice/supplement, make sure to read the ingredients and enjoy

2. Also, anthocyanins are known for enhancing the body’s immune system, protecting it from all kinds of viral infections and diseases. This makes it a truly valuable health product since viral infections have become so common today.
3. The antioxidants which are found in the acai berry have also been proven to be effective in dealing with inflammation. People who are suffering from arthritis can take it to reduce and prevent inflammation in the joints. It also helps in taking care of problems of gout.
4. The acai berry also has ingredients which act together as a natural agent in speeding up the body’s metabolism. It has a lot of omega-3 fatty acids that is known as an enhancer for the metabolic rate of the body. Because of this, it is helpful for those who are trying to lose weight. It also acts as an appetite suppressant through reducing cravings.
5. The acai berry also has high levels of fiber, which helps in improving the efficiency of the digestive system. People who are suffering from regular bouts of diarrhea or constipation can take it as a supplement to improve their digestion and to make their bowel movements more regular.
6. The fruit of the acai palm is also high in amino acids, which also helps in speeding up the body’s metabolism and in building muscles.
7. Aside from all these, the acai berry has been used as a staple food by many sportsmen in Brazil because of its high carbohydrate content.

Acai…Another fad or is this a genuine superfood?
I have been reading about Acai berries and their alledged potency. One site even offered a free trial and when I read the small print they automatically charge your card £80+ every 30 days, obviously another scam, so is it worth sifting through the scams and trying this “superfood” or is it just another rip off designed to take your money and do nothing for you?
General reports, high in antioxidants, bitter, no good as a weight loss aid.
Lots of scams (bit like the one you spotted) too.
Blueberries are high in antioxidants, you can buy them anywhere, no credit card scam attached!
