The statistical process control in appropriate sizes of custom manufactured products rather than standard products?
I know that the CPS is very useful in the manufacture of standard products for example in the electronics industry, but what about the industry as I am in custom c. to d. facts panel partition whose production is heavily dependent on customer order.
Simple Answer: No answer Comprehensive SPC is useful when you have a specification of work and you can measure the ability to hit this specification. This allows a sampling rate Statistics to be used as you have a constant measure. With elements of action (regardless of what they are) the constant measure changes (and therefore will not be constant). This will prevent statistically valid sampling and the concept of SPC falls. However, the CPS can be used for small lots where there is a high degree of process capability and confidence in the process controls. Hope that helps
