Have a m 59 gas mask, but cant find anything about it?

I just bought a gas mask from the flea market for $8. It was sealed in plastic but I opened it to see what kind it was. The markings say m 59 but I only found one article about it and it wasn’t helpful. I want to know if it’s US or Swedish or neither and what is it good for and how good is it and what kind of filters do I need. It came with a green filter cylindar thing but there was no exp date or anything. Idk anything about it, please help?
No markings on the bag at all. On the left side where the filter would go it says m – 59 then underneath that has a S with a circle around it (size small i guess) and underneath that it says 86 . 92 the dot between 86 and 92 is in the middle and it also says 86 92 on the metal filter canister.

A picture might help. I don’t see an M59 listed under US Army masks. The only M59 I found is Soviet.

Tip: If we come under NBC attack, don’t put it on and run outside.
