For example, do you feel that a particular college/university should be ranked higher or lower than it was? Or are these rankings just too biased?
I’m annoyed with the heavy bias it has toward the Ivy Leagues (Harvard is #1? Oh, I am so surprised). And I am a little disturbed by how they determine ethnic diversity. But honestly, not much has changed. Of course, this will just make high school students obsess about a school’s rank rather than what it has to offer.

Whats a good topic/ book for an Ancient World Book Report?
I need a book that is over 300 pages long and has been published in the last 40 years about the ancient world to write a report on and I cannot think of anything!
Many of that sort of book are considered to be reference works (even if they’re dated), and so are still in print. Go to amazon books and scroll through the possibilities. You can then either get one of the titles you prefer from the library, or, in a few cases, the full text may actually be online somewhere.
Suggestion: try narrowing down the search to a specific type of book about the ancient world, such as the mythology of this culture or that; or the history of writing and/or numbers; or the technology or warfare during specific centuries; etc.
What grade-level is this report for, anyway? I’ll tell you this, I can think of way worse assignments than this (ones that are harder, more boring, too narrow, …). …
