Can you have rapid Weight Gain from boiled peanuts? I’ve been eating them at night and have gained wt./bloated?
I’ve been eating them for a few days now, every night with my husband. They’re soaked in sea salt and regular table salt. I’ve noticed my clothes fitting more snug and I feel bloated. Could it just be water retention from the salt and water? Have you ever heard of someone gaining rapid weight from eating boiled peanuts? Maybe me eating at night contributes also….
As you mentioned, boiled peanuts are very salty. My guess is you are retaining water from the increase in sodium you’ve had from the peanuts. If you’ve gained weight quickly, it probably just is water weight. Perhaps try drinking a lot of water to flush out the sodium from your body. Also eating at night tends to add weight just because after you eat, the food just sits in your stomach as you sleep. Your metabolism slows at night so whatever you eat within a few hours of sleep, doesn’t get burned off as energy. Again, I’d suggest drinking lots of water to flush out the salt and maybe cut back on the snacking close to bedtime.

Minimize the amount of cholesterol, trans fats and saturated fats. There are better choices that are readily available to you, like whole grains, vegetables, fruits and beans. The additional fiber of these food items will fill you up without contributing unnecessary calories.
4 – The majority of fitness professionals suggest that your low-calorie eating plan be combined with additional exercise. You can benefit from exercise, even if it is not strenuous. Some studies indicate that if you exercise twice a day this is just as useful as working out for an extended amount of time. I haven’t had one since the 1st Dec last year.
