Why is weight loss surgery so controversial?
I work with weight loss surgery patients. The decision to have weight loss surgery is a personal one. Why is there such a stigma on people who have surgery. Obesity is a disease. It is proven that weight loss surgery improves health. Why do people ridicule those who have surgery?
I have mixed feeling about the surgery. I have heard of a few stories where the surgery the person had caused more health problems than they had before they were obese. Also after seeing the biggest loser show and watching people shed 50% of their body weight when they were clearly obese at 300-400 lbs. It makes it hard for me to believe that it is impossible for someone to lose weight without surgery. I also think that the surgery all depends on the person, look at some of the celebrates that have had the surgery, they look great.
You are correct though that it is a personal decision. I think as long as they know all the risks and make a life change it will all work out. I don’t agree with people who get the surgery and not change there life and then gain it all back, that just isn’t healthy.

1. Correct your snacks and the meals will usually follow
It’s simple. Junk food snacks lead to overreating at your meals. Why? The snacks are high in sugar usually. This causes wild blood sugar swings which then cause you to get more cravings while you get more hungry. The solution is to eat fiber-filled and protein-filled snacks instead.
Examples that I personally use myself include string cheese, low calorie Wal-Mart yogurts, dill pickles wrapped in a slice of cheese, 10 black olives, and apples. Notice the big differences in the choices. That’s by design. Why? Because you have lots of different cravings and 1 of those will help keep it under control.
2. Do 4 sets of 25-30 bodyweight squats daily
This is beyond simple. Actually, maybe it is a little hard, but it’s not complicated. I want you to do these squats as fast as you can. That is all I ask. Don’t cheat too. You know what I mean too. I see people cheat this movement by not going down far enough. Forget it. It’s a waste of time if you’re going to do that. So don’t bother. Do 4 sets of 25 reps really fast. I prefer you do all these sets 1 after another with a 30-45 second break between them, but do what you have to do. Just get them done by the end of the day… everyday.

Any good ,proven ways to lose weight besides portions control and exersize ,I already do that .?
Increasing your metabolism will aid in that. Metabolism is how fast your body consumes calories. Eat as soon as you can in the morning as that will kick start it. I lost 100 pounds and one of the things I did was make myself a protein shake first thing in the morning. In a blender, put protein powder(obtainable at health food store), add frozen unsweetened strawberries, ice, milk, sweetener, and then when you get used to that you can experiment with ingredients. Like carrots, broccoli, spinach. I like ‘em all. You can even make one with using unsweetened chocolate and add lots of sweetener. Drink it first thing. As diets don’t work, I got a book that contained info about every single food and their calories. From that you can create your own healthy way of eating. Somewhere around 1000 to 1500 calories is good. I kept track of how many calories I consumed on paper. That way you don’t feel deprived, and it can become a lifestyle, not a diet. Scrimp where ever you can, like buttering your toast after cooled, that way the butter doesn’t soak in and it still tastes good. Those are just some ideas, oh yeah, don’t eat if you really aren’t hungry. Add exercise, not until you hurt, it’s not needed. I don’t believe in, “no pain, no gain”. Anyway add exercise, which also raises your metabolism, and you are on your way to painless weight reduction, a way you can live for the rest of your life.
