Peptide Amino
The human body needs 20 natural amino acids to function properly. There are 8 amino acids essential for humans: phenylalanine, valine, threonine, tryptophan, isoleucine, methionine, leucine and lysine. They are called essential because the body does not manufacture, but must be absorbed in Food. Therefore, proper nutrition must be balanced and should include all the essential amino acids. Foods that contain a good quantity and variety of amino acids, including the most essential should be included in our daily diet. Plant sources as we quinoa buckwheat, hempseed, amaranth, among others, contain a balanced set of amino acids.
Peptides and amino acids
What is an amino acid? Is a molecule composed of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen which are peptides and proteins, there are 20 amino natural amino found in most living organisms
What a peptide? Peptides are chains of amino acids that make up essential components of our body proteins and enzymes are composed of different lengths of amino acids. The human body needs 20 amino acids necessary for its proper functioning.
The peptides or oligopeptides word refer to chains of amino acids (AA's) in height 50 AA (it is an arbitrary length), it is mainly used to differentiate between short and long chains of AA; long chains are called protein AA; keep in mind that in many situations, words can be used interchangeably.
For example, human insulin is 51 amino acid long hormone / protein, it can be returned as a peptide or protein (at least It consists of a chain of amino acids). Insulin is a peptide and a molecular weight of 5808 daltons. It is produced and secreted by the islets of Langerhans in the pancreas. Various deficiencies produce insulin for diabetes.
