Why are my eyes spasming?
I’ve recently stopped smoking. I’m on the patch and I’ve also started taking vitamins:
-Ginko
-B-Complex
-E
-Saw Palmetto
-Acidolphilus
-Milk Thistle
-Echinacea/ Goldenseal
And all day today, my left and right eye keep spasming or twitching or ticcing as it would be. Is this something I should be worrying about? What’s casuing it?
A sudden on-set of eye spasms or twitching is usually nothing to worry about. Eyelid twitching is usually caused by stress, fatigue, eyestrain, too much caffeine or alcohol, allergies, dry eyes, or nutritional imbalances. My guess would be that you are experiencing increased amounts of stress since you stopped smoking. (BTW- Congratulations!) However, due to all the different vitamins you are taking, it might also be a nutritional imbalance. Also, I’m not sure what the patch consists of besides nicotine, but if it contains caffeine, this too could be the problem. I really don’t think you have anything to worry about, but if it persists you might want to see an eye doctor. Hope this helps.

Breakers Resort in Myrtle Beach SC
With its pirate ship, 10 pools, and location in the middle of a family-oriented beach town, The Breakers Resort is a major destination for families of all sizes. Exercise enthusiasts will enjoy the two air-conditioned fitness centers, both with womens and mens steam rooms. One is located in the main building complex, and the other in the North Tower boutique hotel, seven blocks north. The North Tower complex also houses an outdoor swimming pool, children’s pool, spa tub, and a sunning lawn overlooking the beach.
The resort boasts 700 feet of beachfront and several restaurants and cafes to choose from, including a Starbucks and an ice cream parlor. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the property, including all guestrooms and public areas. With its diverse water features, beach location, and proximity to the sprawling Broadway At The Beach shopping, dining, and entertainment center and the Myrtle Beach Pavilion amusement center, the resort is especially family-friendly. Room types range from efficiency studios to spacious multi-bedroom condos. Guests ages 21 and younger are not permitted unless accompanied by an adult. The principal pool complex comprises the indoor portion of an indoor/outdoor, 418-foot lazy river; this and the kids’ pirate ship pool are perhaps the liveliest of the resort’s myriad water features, which include a pair of 16-person spa tubs. Along with 700 feet of beach, a pair of fitness centers, the (seasonal) Kidz Club, and a Starbucks, the hotel has several dining venues–and easy access to the family attractions of Myrtle Beach.
The Breakers in Myrtle Beach SC resort offers 546 guestrooms, suites, and studios. Three guestroom towers–Palms, Palmetto, and Paradise–are adjacent to the resort’s reception building, called Pirate’s Cove; the Seaside guestroom building is nearby, along with principal indoor and outdoor water attractions.
Seven blocks north, the 19-story North Tower also offers rooms and suites. North Tower guests enjoy access to all facilities in the other towers.
Ranging from efficiency studios to spacious three-bedroom suites, all guestrooms include balconies and cable TV with pay movies, and most offer microwave ovens and compact refrigerators. Decor features light-colored wood furniture and bright, tropically-colored fabrics. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout.
Dinning is never a problem at the Breakers Resort because you are minutes away from hundreds of restaurants or you can dine at the resort in one of these fine spots.
Papa’s – Located on the Grand Strand at the main resort complex. Hemingway themed with murals depicting writer in various settings. Rattan chairs, wood-paddle ceiling fans. Dinner menu may include fried green tomatoes, mussels with ginger and red curry, ribs, steaks, burgers, salads, jambalaya, crab cakes, veal Marsala, and calf’s liver with bacon. Buffet and la carte breakfast service daily. Dinner served Tuesday-Saturday.
Red Parrot Cafe – Ocean view. Casual dining in Palmetto Tower. Serves lunch and dinner daily. Sandwiches, salads, burgers. Beach drink specials, seasonal live entertainment.
Jaybo’s Pizza & Grill – Located across street from main resort complex. Burgers, salads, sandwiches, pizza, smoothies, video games. Lunch, dinner service in summer. Variable winter hours.
Bryers Ice Cream – Located in main resort complex. A variety of ice cream flavors.
The Market Restaurant – In North Tower Breakers Boutique hotel. Breakfast buffet daily, with ocean views.
North Tower Pool Bar – Inside/outside bar by North Tower pool. Drinks and snacks.
Starbucks – Coffee cafe with pastries, snacks. Open daily early morning until late evening.
Waves – Shellfish and drinks bar open in summer. By main complex pools. Snack foods for lunch.
The Breakers Resort’s Paradise Tower features an expansive pool complex enclosed by glass panels that are removed in the summer. The complex comprises the indoor portion of an indoor/outdoor 418-foot lazy river; other water features at the Paradise Tower are a free-form pool, a children’s pool with a mushroom-shaped shower; and two 16-person spa tubs. Just outside is another children’s pool in a pirate ship. In summer, a DJ plays music and leads activities from an adjacent stage.
Located 7 blocks north, the Breakers Boutique Hotel or North Tower offers a complex of three year-round outdoor pools and a 12-person spa tub–all fronted by a sunning lawn overlooking the beach. The resort features direct beach access from all towers.
The resort’s concierge provides discounts at nine of the Myrtle Beach area’s 120 golf courses and arranges tee times for all.

Do palmetto bugs nest indoors?
My apartment complex’s exterminator told me the big cockroaches, aka palmetto bugs, don’t nest indoors, and yet I see them almost daily???
if they are all adults you are seeing, they probably are not nesting inside your apartment…they have to have high moisture for the babies to grow (common name is water bug)…being an apartment situation it could be a case of a water problem at another unit where they will be nesting in the structure then as the adults venture away from the “nest” they find their way inside your apartment..if you are seeing a number of the immature stages there is a good chance of an inside issue that will need to be addressed. If they are just a high outside population where you see one everyday, any general insecticide with a residual placed at the entry points will stop your inside sightings…if they persist after a treatment, more investigation on your exterminator’s part may be needed.
