Fat Metabolism
Fat Metabolism
Is it possible to have a high metabolism but still have fat in your body?
I’ve been told my metabolism is pretty high; I’m frequently hungry/peckish and snack all the time. I’m pretty thin but not Twiggy thin, so that got me wondering. I know there’s a basic percentage of body fat everyone should pretty much have, so I’m wondering if you have a high metabolism, does body fat drop to that “basic” level or can you have an above-average amount?
you can always have an above average amount if youre eating to the point that youre bloated but since you have a high metabolism you should be finee
but to stay healthy dont eat too much fatty snacks cuz thats gunna clog you up inside where you cant see it
seriously tho if you cant grab like an inch of fat on your stomach, youre finee ![]()
it all depends on age and how much exercise you get and all that

im doing an assignment on fat metabolism and i need to know wat is the role of fat?
i know that fat is an energy storage facility as such but wat else do i need to know?
This is really a good question. Did you know that insulin has a parner hormone called glucagon? Glucagon is the hormone that keeps our sugar from dropping too low as insulin keeps it from going too high. These two hormones work harmoniously together, to keep blood glucose levels stable. Yet, they have other jobs besides glucose management. Glucagon is also the hormone responsible for fat metabolism. In otherwords, it causes the body to use it for fuel. Logically, if insulin levels are too high, there is no glucagon production. Healthy glucagon is present only when insulin levels are stable. What happens to fat when there is no insulin?
This opens the door for obesity and type 1 diabetes.
