how to make vanilla ice cream at home?
This is a way to make ice cream with an ice cream maker. For every half cup of ice cream you want, to 1 / 8 cup sugar, 1 / 4 cup cream and 1 / 4 cup milk in a ziplock bag. Add 1 / 4 teaspoon vanilla and other flavors if you want, as chocolate, strawberry, all you have to do is add chocolate or strawberry syrup dessert. In a large bag, take 3 or 4 cups of ice and 1 / 2 cup of rock salt and put in the larger bag. Stir for 5-7 minutes. Take the small bag and cut a hole in the bottom corner. Tighten the homemade ice cream. Add sprinkles and a cherry and enjoy!

How To Make Homemade Chocolate Whoopie Pies
The making of Whoopie Pies has been a Pennsylvania tradition for many years and is prevalent in the Amish and Mennonite communities. If you have never tried a homemade Whoopie Pie, you are really missing out.
What is a Whoopie Pie you might ask? Basically, it is two round mounds of chocolate cake and sandwiched in between those cakes, is some delicious creamy vanilla frosting.
The following recipe was given to me back in the late 1980′s by a local Mennonite woman and to this day, its our favorite recipe.
Chocolate Whoopie Pies
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup powdered cocoa
1/2 teaspoon table salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 lb. butter, softened (divided)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract (divided)
3/4 cup cold milk
1/2 cup confectioner’s sugar
1 cup marshmallow creme
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda; set aside. In another large bowl, combine the softened 1/4 pound of butter and granulated sugar. Using an electric mixer, beat until smooth and creamy. Stir in the 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract; beat for an additional 30 seconds. Stir in the flour mixture and beat again until all ingredients are combined.
Drop by large rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased baking sheet, about 4″ apart. Using a spoon, spread each mound of batter to form a circle, approximately 2 1/2″ in diameter. Bake in the oven for approximately 10 minutes or until the mini cakes spring back when touched.
While your mini cakes are baking, in a large bowl beat the remaining 1/4 pound of butter, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and confectioner’s sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in the marshmallow creme until the filling is light and fluffy.
Once your mini cakes have cooled, spread the filling on half of the cakes and then top with an unfilled half. (like a sandwich cookie.) Store your homemade treats in an airtight canister.

1 1 / 4 cups flour – 1 teaspoon salt / 4-2 tablespoons butter (to cold) – 4 tablespoons cold butter – 5 tablespoons ice water Filling: – 2 cups milk – cup sugar 2 / 3 – cornstarch 1 / 4 cup – teaspoon salt 1 / 4 to 3 egg yolks – 1 teaspoon vanilla MERINGUE FILLING: – 3 egg whites a pinch of salt – 6 tablespoons tablespoons powdered sugar – cream teaspoon 1 / 8 of the crust of tartar Directions PIE: See individual recipes for pie crust instructions on the preparation of the crust of this tart. Bake pie shell for about 30 minutes, according to the instructions of the pie crust before adding that filling. Topping: In medium sauce pan, add milk, sugar, cornstarch, salt and egg yolks. Mix ingredients and mix well, then over medium heat bring mixture to a boil and cook until thickened. Stir the mixture is heated to avoid burning at the bottom of the pan. Once the mixture boils and thickens, remove from heat and add vanilla. When well mixed, pour the mixture into the crust pie oven. Set aside while the meringue. Meringue: Allow egg whites to become room temperature. Beat the egg whites at high speed until they form a point snow. While beating, add salt and add the powdered sugar a couple tablespoons at a time. Beat until stiff peaks form meringue. Add cream of tartar and beat to mix well enough. Do not over beat. Pour the meringue on top pie filling and spread evenly on the cake, making sure that spread so that is in contact with the crust on all sides. Do small peaks in the meringue to give it a finished look. Place the cake in a preheated 350 ° F. Bake until the meringue is lightly golden, about 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
