As evidence of blood sugar, without a meter in house?
Does anyone know how to measure their blood sugar at home without going to the doctors or have a meter? Or if anyone knows what would your urine / odor as if you had diabetes? I wondered if I had diabetes and I want to ask my parents go to doctors because it probably just laugh at me, and I have looked online for symptoms and have had some of them: S Help please?
No possible. you MUST have a meter. Urine test is "old school". with all the new tests, a urine test tells you almost nothing. And if the urine test is positive, then diabetes is so advanced, and you need some serious, expensive medical care immediately! The only way to diagnose diabetes is a blood test from the doctor. All you need is a simple, inexpensive, called the A1C test. You may need to ask your doctor Peform this test, but only needs a sample of blood (some doctors have a special machine that can do with a drop of blood). Most clinics can do this test, too. The A1C test will tell if they are diabetic or not. if I were you, I would much more comfortable having someone laugh in my face when the test is negative, have a laugh at my funeral, because the test was positive but did not get tested.
