Has anyone actually lost weight with the Acai Berry Diet?
I see several websites claiming weight will drop off with the Acai Berry Diet. If it sounds too good to be true..it probably is. If you tried this diet, did it work?? How much weight did you loose and did you have to work at it?
The popularity of the acai berry diet began in the U.S. with celebrity endorsements in 2006. It was Dr. Nicholas Perricone, on the Oprah Winfrey show, who announced the acai berry as being the #1 superfood. The berry’s primary uses are in anti-aging and weight loss. The monounsaturated fats of the acai berry diet, along with the antioxidants and fiber, make it a valuable source of nutrition for dieters. An acai berry diet not only promotes weight loss but it increases energy, boosts the body’s power to burn fat, and strengthens the immune system.
A proper acai berry diet can make anyone look and feel years younger while detoxifying the blood and the digestive tract. It sounds too good to be true and in some cases it is. Oprah’S New Acai Diet Review – Oprah’S Favorite Acai Diet Not For Real?
If you’ve been browsing the web recently looking for weight loss or new ways to burn fat in 2009 then you might have come across the acai berry diet. It was a new diet on Oprah that proposed great results for fat burning, although is Oprah’s favorite acai diet not for real? I’m going to expose the truth of whether there has been some kind of misunderstanding.

One very interesting this you will find at the Oprah website is that she in fact does not support these acai berry diets and products flying around the web that are trying to associate themselves to her. This is for good reason as well, because acai and weight loss really shouldn’t be used in the same sentence to begin with. Acai is great for its anti-oxidant benefits, healthy skin, protection from disease such as cancer and overall improved health as well as all the other nutrients within Acai such as relative amounts of Omega 3, phytosterols and fiber.
However for weight loss it is a whole other story and it is unfortunate that people are cashing in on peoples un-informed understanding of this. You see on the show they proposed weight loss involving acai but this also involved a fiber shake, the fiber shake which is the real cause for weight loss through its blood sugar balancing effects and colon cleansing ability.
So its all a Myth?
Unfortunately for burning fat acai just doesn’t hold up. You’re better investing your money into something such as calorie shifting where real results are achieved through altering the way your metabolism functions so you burn fat at all times of the day from eating food. At least in the case of calorie shifting people lose lots of weight and keep it off permanently and they don’t break the bank to do it either.
